About the role 

You'll be joining a supportive and dedicated team within a Core & Cluster service, providing person-centred support to people with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs to live the lives they choose.

No two days are the same, and that's what makes this role so rewarding.

You'll be supporting a group of individuals with unique personalities, interests, and goals. This includes an active young gentleman in his early twenties who loves being outdoors, especially on long countryside walks and keeping physically active. He also enjoys spending time in his own space, watching YouTube and embracing his independence, knowing his support team is there when he needs them.

You'll also support a young woman who is building her confidence and independence in a relatively new area. She enjoys exploring new opportunities, getting involved in her local community, and meeting new people. With encouragement and reassurance, you'll help her build meaningful connections, discover new activities, and continue creating a life that is rich, fulfilling, and uniquely hers.

Alongside this, you'll support two ladies with a range of support needs, from maintaining their homes and managing everyday tasks to navigating periods of emotional stress, fluctuating mental health, and health-related needs. Each person has their own aspirations, interests, and level of independence, and your role will be tailored to what matters most to them.

Whether that's supporting someone to make new friends, access their community, develop life skills, pursue hobbies, or simply providing reassurance during difficult moments, you'll be there to make a genuine difference every day.

Working in partnership with colleagues and Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) professionals, you'll provide compassionate, person-centred support that promotes wellbeing, confidence, and independence. Full PBS training will be provided.

Most importantly, you'll build strong, trusting relationships and support people to feel safe, valued, and empowered to live the lives they choose.

Shifts: 

We provide flexible support across a 24-hour services to meet the needs of each individual who lives at the complex:

Long Day Sleep-In Shifts

9:00am to 9:00am the following day10.00am to 8.00am the following day8.00am to 8.00am the following day

Includes a £50 sleep-in payment for period of sleep-in duties

Day shifts may vary and change as needs change

3.5 hour day shifts to 11 hour day shifts and anywhere in between
