Support Worker – Reading (RG2)

Part-Role – Around 20 hours per week, including some weekends£13.45 per hour + £50 per sleep-in shift

We’re looking for a confident and caring Support Worker to join our team in Reading (RG2), where you’ll support a gentleman in his 40s with learning disabilities. This is a lone-working role that’s highly rewarding if you enjoy spending quality time one-to-one, creating meaningful moments and providing practical support.

What he enjoys:

  • Swimming and going for walks
  • Watching and talking about sports
  • Listening to music
  • Relaxed chats, family visits, and days out

Your role will include:

  • Personal care and daily living routines
  • Meal preparation and healthy eating support
  • Medication administration
  • Occasional wheelchair support for longer outings
  • Planning and enjoying activities that make him happy
  • Long day: 8:00am – 11:00pm
  • Sleep-in: 11:00pm – 8:00am (£50 per sleep-in)(Around 20 hours per week plus additional sleep-ins with alternate weekends – must be available for both Saturday and Sunday when on a weekend shift. Rotas are given in advance.)
