About the Role
As a Support Worker in our Day Opportunities team, you will help individuals take part in a wide range of meaningful and fun activities—supporting their personal development, creativity and independence.
Your role will include:
- Supporting individuals to engage in a timetable of activities and sessions
- Working closely with session leaders to plan resources, sessions and transport
- Supporting personal, social and healthcare needs while keeping accurate records
- Helping individuals meet their goals around wellbeing, independence and personal growth
- Working both independently and as part of a supportive team
- Providing help with general daily tasks where required
Every day is different—and every day, you’ll be helping someone achieve something meaningful.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in a social care setting or in leading activities for people with learning disabilities
- The ability to work calmly, confidently and professionally
- Strong skills in building positive relationships with colleagues, volunteers, families and carers
- A willingness to learn and develop your skills further—training is provided
- Level 2 NVQ in Health & Social Care (desirable)
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- The ability and willingness to drive a mini‑bus (essential)
