Our mission is to empower individuals to rebuild their lives and achieve independence. Right now, we are looking for a Support Worker to play a pivotal role in our Mental Health Service in Croydon.

Sounds great, what will I be doing?

As a Support Worker, you will provide person-centred support to service users by carrying out comprehensive assessments, support planning, and safety planning that promote recovery, independence, and individual wellbeing. Working closely with the Service Manager, Team Manager, external agencies, families, carers, and other key supporters, you will help develop and review support, risk, and move-on plans tailored to each individual's needs. You will encourage participation in social, educational, training, employment, and skills-development opportunities, while supporting access to relevant health services. You will also help maintain a safe and positive environment, monitor housing-related responsibilities, and promote tenancy sustainment, including supporting occupancy agreement compliance and rent payments.

Displays skills to convince, persuade and influence others including excellent negotiation skills Uses appropriate interpersonal styles and collaborative approaches with colleagues and stakeholders. Professional Consultancy Skills- Operates professionally and ethically with the ability to gain the trust and respect of others Excellent IT and Digital skills and confident in the use of Microsoft Office functions Use of MS Word –ability to compose bids and reports Use of MS Excel –ability to create and manipulate spreadsheets Use of MS Powerpoint – ability to prepare presentations Use of MS Outlook – ability to read and compose emails and maintain Outlook Ability to maintain and develop the contracts database with IT colleagues Ability to work flexibly as this role is to work shifts and will require occasional weekend work.
