Social Media Volunteer

We are looking for a creative, enthusiastic Social Media Volunteer to help bring our April Art Trail to life online. The trail will showcase artwork created by Magic Carpet participants across City centre venues — and we want to celebrate the incredible art created!

What you’ll be doing

You’ll work closely with the Magic Carpet team to help promote the art trail and celebrate the artists involved.

Tasks may include:

• Creating engaging social media content (posts, stories, reels)
• Filming short videos at exhibitions, workshops, and venues
• Helping schedule content across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, etc.)
• Supporting general promotion of the art trail and events
• Capturing behind-the-scenes moments and participant stories
• Helping grow reach and engagement in the lead-up to and during April

We’re looking for someone who:

• Enjoys social media and content creation
• Is confident filming on a phone (no fancy kit needed)
• Has a good eye for visuals and storytelling
• Is reliable, friendly, and comfortable working with people
• Cares about community, creativity, and inclusive arts

Time commitment

• Flexible — a few hours a week to fit around you
• More involvement in the run-up to and during April
• Some in-person attendance at venues/events in Exeter
