ABOUT BRISTOL BEARS

Bristol Bears Rugby is part of Stephen Lansdown’s sporting group of companies which includes Bristol Sport, Bristol City Football, Bristol Flyers Basketball and each of their respective community charities.

Our vision is ‘to inspire our community through rugby success’. Our supporters regularly attend Ashton Gate Stadium to watch the team perform in Premiership and European Cup Competitions as well as our Women’s team who play at the highest level of domestic competition.

ROLE SUMMARY

At Bristol Bears, we’re building one of the most creative, innovative and personality-driven brands in sport – and we’re looking for a video-led Social Media Producer to help take it even further.

We want someone obsessed with social-first storytelling, short-form video and internet culture. Someone who understands what makes fans stop scrolling, laugh, share content and feel part of a community.

Working closely with the Content Manager and wider creative team, you’ll help shape the voice, personality and visual identity of Bristol Bears across Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube and emerging platforms. From reactive matchday content and behind-the-scenes storytelling to trend-led edits, player-focused features and big commercial shoots, you’ll be at the heart of our content output.

Vertical video and short-form storytelling will be a huge focus of this role, with a key objective of growing and engaging our Instagram and TikTok audiences through bold, entertaining and platform-native content. We want to create content that supporters genuinely enjoy consuming – content that informs, entertains, sparks conversation and makes people laugh.

We want our players and personalities at the forefront of everything we do. This role will help bring supporters closer to the people behind the shirt – building player brands, showcasing authentic moments and creating content that feels fresh, human and uniquely Bristol Bears.

You’ll also support the delivery of high-end commercial shoots, branded campaigns and premium video productions alongside the Content Manager, helping bring the Club’s creative vision to life across both sporting and commercial projects, as well as creating sales focused content for our paid channels.

If you’re full of ideas, thrive in fast-paced environments and want to push the boundaries of sports content, this is your opportunity to help shape one of rugby’s most exciting digital brands.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the day-to-day management of Bristol Bears’ Men’s and Women’s social media channels across Meta, X, TikTok, YouTube and emerging platforms.
  • Create engaging vertical video and short-form content, with a strong focus on growing Instagram and TikTok audiences and increasing fan engagement using social trends and viral moments.
  • Help evolve and maintain Bristol Bears’ distinctive social media tone and creative identity, ensuring content feels authentic, innovative and culturally relevant.
  • Capture and edit high-quality social-first video content across training, matchdays, behind-the-scenes access, player features, community initiatives and Club events.
  • Produce video content to be used on paid social, promoting upcoming fixtures and key campaigns.
  • Share matchday responsibilities across Men’s, Women’s and Academy fixtures, delivering live coverage, reactive content and post-match storytelling.
  • Assist the Creative Content Lead on larger commercial shoots, partner activations, branded campaigns and premium video productions.
  • Support the production of sponsor-led and commercial content that aligns with Club brand standards and partner objectives.
  • Monitor audience behaviour, social insights and content performance to optimise strategy, improve engagement and drive audience growth.
  • Ensure all content is accurate, on-brand and adheres to safeguarding and media guidelines.
  • Support editorial and marketing objectives by helping maximise reach, engagement and traffic across Club-owned platforms.
