Smart Technologies Coordinator / Enabling Technologist

At Leuchie we are passionate about using technology to improve the lives of those living with neurological conditions.

The Role

We are looking for someone who will be responsible for managing and further developing the smart technologies deployed to those who use Leuchie services. They will be responsible for helping those who use Leuchie services, and their carers try out new smart technologies and learn more about assistive and accessible possibilities with technologies they already own.

Main duties & requirements

To include but not limited to:

  • Research, set up, test, install, and maintain smart technologies.
  • Demonstrate and provide technology support to those who use Leuchie services through 1-1 in person sessions and/or via phone and email.
  • Work with individuals to understand their technology requirements and showcase what may be available to them.
  • Design and present interesting and varied tech talks for those who use Leuchie services and occasionally for Leuchie staff.
  • Occasionally help those who use Leuchie services to order and set up new technology and organise for it to be installed and put onto their Wi-Fi when they get back to their home.
  • Keep documentation up to date, including smart tech configuration settings for the smart rooms, standard operating procedures, inventory spreadsheets, and password management.
  • Work with the Lead for Enabled Health and Care Technology and the wider Leuchie team to develop the digital and assistive technology available at Leuchie House.
  • Ensure record keeping is kept up to date and information regarding sessions is recorded to give evidence of the support you are giving.
  • Participate in staff meetings, staff performance reviews and staff training as required, to promote own development and understanding.
  • Support with data collection on technology deployment, use and guest/carer experience.

Hours

  • Part-time
  • Pay: £16.25 per hour
  • Expected hours: No less than 21 per week
