Hiring for two candidates to join our wonderful team at Revive, Sunderland!
Are you passionate about reducing waste, helping the environment, and supporting your local community? We’re looking for a friendly, enthusiastic Revive Site Assistant to join our Sunderland team. This is a rewarding opportunity to be part of a reuse and recycling initiative that truly makes a difference.
About the RoleAs a Revive Site Assistant, you’ll play a key role in delivering excellent customer service and keeping our store safe, organised, and welcoming. Your responsibilities will be varied, from processing and merchandising donations, to assisting customers at the till, supporting operations on the waste site, and helping ensure reusable items are given a second life.
What You’ll Be Doing- Welcoming customers and providing great service
- Accepting, sorting, and merchandising donations to maximise sales
- Ensuring the shop floor is clean, tidy, safe, and well‑presented
- Processing sales and handling customer queries
- Moving suitable items from the waste site to the shop and returning non‑reusable items for recycling
- Supporting Meet & Greet and administrative duties where needed
- Helping minimise stock loss through vigilance and care
- Following company policies and maintaining confidentiality
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
Essential- Retail experience and confidence handling cash
- Strong customer service skills
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude
- A good level of English, Maths, and general IT skills
- A passion for reuse, reducing landfill, and making a difference
- Empathy for our ethos and values
- Experience in a charity or voluntary sector role
- Knowledge of the reuse or recycling sector
- Experience with EPOS systems
- A commitment to reducing carbon footprint
