Barnardo's Action With Young Carers Liverpool are looking for a friendly, organised Administrator to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting children, young people and families by providing a welcoming administrative support for our service and its users.
About Us
- We support Young Carers (5-18) & Young Adult Carers (18 - 25) who care for another adult
- We work closely with services across Liverpool City Region to ensure access to inclusive respite/activities and additional support
- We are passionate about inclusion, safeguarding and positive experiences
Location
- 109 Eaton Road, West Derby, Liverpool, L12 1LU
- The post is office base only
Working pattern:
- 21 hours per week over 3 days (to be confirmed with successful candidate). Annual leave & bank holidays pro rata
- Hours work around service need
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting budget preparation and monitoring income/expenditure
- Processing invoices, petty cash balancing and raising purchase orders
- Maintaining financial records and preparing reports
- Purchasing goods/services and reconciliation of company credit card expenditure
- Supporting recruitment administration including processing of DBS applications and onboarding
- Support/oversee minuting of meetings/take notes
- Maintaining records in line with GDPR requirements
What we're looking for:
The successful candidate will make the below skills & experience clear in their written application:
- Well-developed numeracy and literacy skills at a level which will enable post holder to perform moderately difficult calculations and produce reports.
- Proven substantial office experience.
- Proven substantial experience of using IT packages including word processing, spread sheets, databases, Windows applications.
- Experience of operating financial systems including petty cash, budget monitoring and control.
- Experience of premises/facilities management.
- Ability to manage a varied workload with competing priorities in an adaptable way
- A collaborative team colleague with excellent organisational skills.

The salary range advertised is in line with our pay principles, for consistency and fairness while recognising the skills and experience applicants bring to the role.
