School Administration Assistant (Fixed Term), Social Science (SOC088S)

We are seeking a proactive and highly organised individual. You will be a good communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a small team within a busy but friendly environment. The role is varied and interesting and will involve contact with the student body as well as staff. You should have excellent IT skills and be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages. Experience in an administrative role is essential, ideally with knowledge and experience of a higher education environment.

Job Description

The successful applicant will work as a member of a team of administrative staff based in the School of Social Science Office, Edward Wright Building. Whilst the post holder will have specific responsibility for the administration of an academic discipline, they will also provide dedicated support for the School’s student recruitment and experience activities. Flexibility is required and opportunities to take responsibility for other areas of work may arise or become necessary.

Salary will be at the appropriate point on Grade 3, £26,565.00 - £27,099.00 with placement according to qualifications and experience.
