Join us in the Maelor Mission Area and bring your gifts to four village churches at the heart of the communities of Hanmer, Overton, Bronington and Penley.

Set amid beautiful countryside, yet within easy reach of Wrexham, border towns and dramatic Welsh hills, our churches have distinctive histories and traditions, strong community links and a shared desire to look confidently towards the future.

We are looking for a priest:

• with a heart for rural ministry and pastoral care, who will love our communities, enjoy meeting people and build relationships with people of all ages
• with a passion for mission and discipleship, who will help people deepen their faith and turn relationships into pathways through which new people can encounter Christ
• who will engage creatively with children, young people and families, building on our strong relationships with local schools and exploring accessible new ways of worship and Christian community
• who will nurture, encourage and equip others, recognising the gifts of lay people and developing teams for worship, mission, pastoral care and leadership

You will not be expected to do everything! You will minister as part of the wider Maelor Mission Area, working alongside clergy and lay colleagues who support one another and share a commitment to growing faith, bringing hope and demonstrating God’s love.

Above all, we are looking for a priest who will pray with us, worship with us, laugh with us, challenge us and encourage us as together we discover where God is calling us next.
