Yeovil College is looking for an enthusiastic Plumbing and Heating Lecturer to join our team and inspire the next generation of trades people! With just 15 hours per week on Mondays and Tuesdays, you’ll have the opportunity to teach in our brand-new state of the art facilities, shape curriculum, and contribute to student success in a supportive, collaborative environment. As a Plumbing and Heating Lecturer, you'll inspire and develop the next generation of skilled trades professionals through engaging, industry-focused teaching across Construction and Building Services. Working closely with colleagues, you'll help design and deliver an ambitious curriculum, support students throughout their learning journey, and contribute to outstanding educational outcomes. You'll join a collaborative team committed to excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement, with opportunities to enhance your own professional expertise and stay current with industry developments. What we're looking for: 

  • A background in plumbing and heating and evidence of practical skills.
  • Relevant Level 3 trade qualification.
  • A relevant teaching qualification or willingness to work towards
  • Experience of supporting young people to learn and develop new skills.
  • The ability to work successfully within a team.
  • Proven skills at developing relationships with stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
