PIONEER MINISTER: ST LUKE, BUCKFASTLEIGH (Lay/Ordained)
We are seeking a relational, mission‑minded , licensed lay or ordained Pioneer Minister to join our team for an initial five year term. He or she will help us build on good existing connections between the local church and the wider community, arising from the church’s service to the community, to develop new expressions of worship and church life in a small rural town with significant economic deprivation on the edge of Dartmoor.
We pray for someone who:
- will offer vision, enthusiasm, and commitment;
- understands and loves rural life while appreciating urban needs;
- is resilient, inclusive, caring and sociable;
- enjoys working creatively and contextually in making new disciples;
- can discern points of need within the community and find partners in responding;
will encourage a passion for mission and grow new pioneer leaders.
The post is offered with a full-time stipend and four bedroom vicarage.
