Our sites are based in Forest Hall, Killingworth, Jesmond, Newcastle City Centre and North Shields.
We work towards excellence every day and our team members are committed to delivering the very best outcomes for the people we support. Our dynamic and flexible service is tailored to the specific needs of the individual, making it easier to live, learn and be part of a world adapting to change.
The Role
We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a Physiotherapist to join the Therapy Team at Hedleys College. We are seeking a motivated, flexible, and enthusiastic physiotherapist who is committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care. The successful candidate will become part of an established and dedicated team of therapists who are passionate about achieving best practice and continuously developing services to meet the evolving needs of the individuals we support. The role requires someone who values collaborative working and is committed to fostering effective teamwork within the college environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified or early-career Physiotherapist who is keen to develop their skills within a supportive and experienced team. The successful applicant will be a qualified and HCPC-registered Physiotherapist responsible for managing a caseload of students with complex physical disabilities, communication difficulties, and learning needs. The role involves delivering both individual and group interventions in close collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, ensuring an integrated and holistic approach to care. Rebound therapy and hydrotherapy form key components of the therapeutic programmes offered. The post also provides excellent opportunities for continuing professional development (CPD) and regular clinical supervision.
Hedleys College offers a dynamic, supportive, and rewarding environment for disabled young adults with neurological disorders, sensory and communication impairments, complex learning disabilities, and Autism Spectrum Conditions. We are committed to providing personalised programmes that reflect everyone’s aspirations, preferences, and support needs. This is achieved through a wide range of meaningful activities and the expertise of a highly skilled and dedicated staff team.
