The Vacancy

Douglas is a thoughtful and independent man in his late thirties. Douglas is very focused on working hard to improve his health and wellbeing, going to the gym most days, and loves badminton, swimming and a game of ten-pin bowling now and again. As a private person, Douglas values trust and loyalty within the people around him. He is incredibly considerate, with a great sense of humour to boot once you get to know him. He also loves checking out the local charity shops, relaxing in a sauna and the occasional air hockey game as well as bus trips to Glasgow and Stirling. Douglas is also an avid gamer, with real talent and lots of knowledge about this. Douglas would like to find out about volunteering within his local community to develop a sense of purpose and belonging and would enjoy the opportunity to experience concerts and shows.

Douglas is currently hiring a Personal Development Worker to join his team to support him in living his good life. He is looking for someone calm, patient, reliable and respectful of his boundaries. Someone who can help him achieve his fitness and social goals and share some of his interests. Ideally, he needs someone who has excellent communication skills with a good understanding of autism. Someone who is supportive, but not someone who will want to lead him as he has a strong sense of what he wants.
