JOB DESCRIPTION

Personal Assistant

 

A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF

I am an older, disabled, highly educated lady who needs someone to help with everyday tasks such as shopping, small tasks around my apartment such as shopping, fetching and carrying items from another room and taking the daily refuse to the refuse room but no cleaning. I also would like to be taken with my walker to access the community occasionally and go out for coffee.

I live in the Llanishen area of Cardiff. I am a retired English teacher.

Skill in information technology would also be welcome.

PURPOSE OF JOB

To help me with everyday tasks.

PLACE OF WORK

At my home address.

HOURS OF WORK

 

I have an average of 6 hours a week available to me, which I can use flexibly based on mutual availability.

RATE OF PAY

 

£15.70 per hour.

 

TASKS INVOLVED

  • Assisting me with everyday activities and tasks.

TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED

 

  • Experience with disabled older people.
  • Able to maintain privacy and confidentiality at all times.
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • Honest and trustworthy
  • A good sense of humour.

Ability with information technology.

ABOUT THE JOB

Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A probation period will be necessary in the first instance. Wages will be paid 4 weekly. You will receive 5.6 weeks paid holiday (pro rata). You will be required to apply for a DBS check at no expense to you.
