The Pastor and Location Coordinator supports the North Location Pastor in leading, pastoring, and empowering all Sunday-focused and wider teams across the location. This role strengthens church community, encourages team development, and ensures the Hippodrome facilities are well-maintained and compliant with health and safety standards.
The role plays a key part in developing systems, programs, and events that foster connection and spiritual growth beyond Sunday services. The Pastor and Location Coordinator also supports young adult ministry and ensures a healthy leadership rhythm within the church.
Key Responsibilities
Midweek Pastoral Support
- Assist the Location Pastor with pastoral care across the church, supporting leaders and group leaders.
- Provide care to individuals identified through prayer requests or other channels.
- Meet and integrate new attendees into church life.
- Support key volunteers pastorally and ensure their wellbeing.
- Oversee ChurchSuite for integration, follow-up, and reporting.
- Liaise with teams to identify and order necessary resources.
Sunday Services
- Collect and report Sunday attendance and team data.
- Ensure first-time visitors are welcomed and connected to church life.
- Communicate with service team leaders to ensure teams are organised and equipped.
- Support introductions, engagement, and next-step guidance for attendees.
- Assist with MC moments or preaching as directed by the Location Pastor.
- Develop leadership duplicates in Sunday Service Teams.
- Responsible for closing the Hippodrome after services.
Young Adults Ministry
- Oversee and grow young adult groups, ensuring strategic and intentional community development.
- Provide pastoral care and guidance for young adults at North London.
- Build and nurture a healthy young adult culture, encouraging inclusivity and growth.
- Coordinate young adult involvement in Sunday services and after-service activities.
- Collaborate with the Location Pastor and London Young Adults Pastor to develop a targeted strategy.
Building & Facilities
- Support maintenance of The Hippodrome and liaise with Building Maintenance Partner.
- Ensure trained first aiders and fire wardens are maintained and trained.
- Report incidents and implement remedial actions within 48 hours.
- Maintain health and safety compliance, risk assessments, and insurance communication.
Systems & Administration
- Support Concur, PS Online, ChurchSuite, Joyned, and Microsoft 365 administration.
- Assist teams with GDPR, safeguarding, and Join Team processes.
- Maintain accurate records and oversee effective use of church systems.
Larger Gatherings & Events
- Assist the Location Pastor at conferences, Sisterhood, Carols, and other large events.
- Serve on event teams and complete additional responsibilities as required.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Qualifications
- Formal theological or ministry training preferred (Hillsong College, local Bible college, or equivalent).
- Health & Safety, First Aid, and Safeguarding training (or willingness to complete).
Experience
- Proven pastoral or ministry experience, including leading teams.
- Experience with church administration, event management, and community engagement.
- Experience in youth or young adult ministry desirable.
Skills & Knowledge
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop teams and mentor leaders.
- Highly organised, self-motivated, and proactive.
- Ability to manage competing priorities with professionalism.
- Teachable, adaptable, and service-oriented approach.
