Part Time School Cleaner

We are seeking an experienced, committed Domestic Cleaner on a temporary 12 month contract, part time with hours to suit the right candidate, to join our wonderful, in-house cleaning team.

Skills and responsibilities for the role:

  • Sweeping, hoovering and clearing around the allocated/designated area of the school site – role dependant.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work across alternative areas if required and time allows.
  • Clean tables and chairs
  • Clean and disinfect toilet and washroom areas
  • Empty small classroom waste bins
  • Empty recycling paper waste
  • Mopping
  • Wipe skirting boards and stairways
  • Fill up soap dispensers, hand towels, tissues and toilet paper
  • Laundry – washing and drying (if applicable)
  • Upkeep of the staffroom (if applicable)
  • Report any faults or breakages to the Maintenance
  • Complete EduCare online courses in accordance with the school’s requirements and policies
  • Read and understand all the relevant School policies
  • Uphold excellent rapport and respect for all children, staff, parents and visitors
  • Follow school safety procedures and drills such as Fire Safety
  • Excellent personal hygiene standards
  • Complete and update training as required and requested by the school
  • Maintain the highest level of personal and professional conduct
  • Wear appropriate clothing and uniform where required and requested

Working pattern

  • Approx. 5.5 hours per day, can be discussed at interview. Hours to suit the right candidate
  • Monday – Friday
  • 12 months maternity cover, temporary contract
  • All year round, 6 weeks annual leave, pro rata
  • £26,000 annual salary, pro rata
  • Free on-site parking, free lunch and refreshments throughout the day
