Nursery Manager - Term Time
Stoneygate, Leicester
We are looking for an enthusiastic team player to fill the role of the Nursery Manager at LIA GEMS Leicester
This role is working on a term time basis, so you wouldn't be working during the school holidays. The contracted hours during term time would be 24 -30 hours per week.
We are looking for an experienced Nursery Manager who will be able to bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Nursery and help us to continue to offer an excellent service to our parents and children
The role of the Nursery Manager involves
• Have a minimum level 3 qualification within Childcare
Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience of working within a Nursery setting
Have worked in a Senior role before, either as a Deputy or as a 3rd in charge or Room Leader looking to make the step up
Be passionate about childcare and have empathy when working with children.
• Have excellent knowledge of the EYFS.
• Recruitment of staff and new children into the setting
• To lead and develop the team members within the rooms
Lead practice within the Baby, Toddler & Pre-School Room in line with the EYFS guidelines
• Support and mentor all practitioners
• Model the skills and behaviours that safeguard and support children
• To ensure high staff morale within the team is maintained
• To build positive partnerships with parents
• To maintain a high standard of care and service throughout the nursery through a self-evaluation of the setting
Candidates should:
• Have a minimum level 3 and above qualification
• Have a proven track record of early years teaching
• Have a proven record of working as a manager or Deputy
• Have a secure knowledge in planning within the EYFS curriculum
The role requires someone who has either significant experience as a Nursery Manager in charge of a setting or a current deputy looking for a change and opportunity in a higher role .
Salary is dependent on experience
Job Types: term-time, Permanent
Schedule:
• Monday to Friday, opening hours between 8.00am and 6pm
Start dates will be confirmed at interview.
