Team:Camden Young Person's High Support Accommodation
Responsible to:Night Manager

Job purpose

In Camden Young Person’s High Support Accommodation, nights are not just about keeping the building open and secure. They are a vital part of creating a safe, steady and supportive home for young people who may be navigating trauma, uncertainty, distress, disrupted routines or difficult relationships with services.

As Night Support Assistant, you will be a calm and consistent presence overnight. You will help make sure young people feel safe, respected and supported, while also maintaining clear boundaries and responding confidently to any immediate needs, risks or incidents that arise. This might include supporting a young person who is distressed, managing visitors or access to the building, responding to missing young people procedures, completing safety checks or helping someone prepare for the day ahead.

You will work closely with the Night Manager, Service Manager and wider team to make sure overnight support is joined up with the young person’s wider support plan. Through accurate recording, clear handovers and thoughtful engagement, you will help the service understand what is happening for young people overnight and ensure they receive consistent support across the whole day and night.
