Chiltern Chamber Choir
Chiltern Chamber Choir is seeking to appoint a new musical director from January 2027.
Founded in 1976, the choir is based in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire with rehearsals being held on Thursday evenings in the church hall at the Sacred Heart Church.
It has long since outgrown its chamber choir name and currently has around 50 auditioned members. The choir typically presents three concerts a year in December, April and July, with orchestral or organ accompaniment as required.
The choir repertoire is principally classical and includes a wide variety of works from Tallis to Chilcott. For more information about the choir, see our website: www.chilternchamberchoir.com, where a full list of works performed can also be viewed.
The choir is managed by an active and supportive committee who will work with the new Musical Director to develop the programme of works, put on concerts and ensure the smooth running of the choir.
The fee for the position will be negotiated as part of the selection process.
