About the role
Change Mental Health is looking for four Mental Health & Wellbeing Practitioners (3 full-time and 1 part-time to join our employability-focused services in Dumfries & Galloway.
You’ll support people experiencing poor mental health or mental illness to build confidence, resilience and practical skills, helping them move towards volunteering, further education and employment while improving their wider mental health and wellbeing.
Who are we looking for?
You’ll work directly with people through a mix of one-to-one support, group activities and community engagement, helping individuals identify achievable goals and develop personal plans that reflect what matters to them.
You’ll help create welcoming and inclusive environments, build connections with community organisations and local services, and support people to develop the confidence, skills and strategies they need to take their next steps.
- Three full-time posts – 35 hours per week
- One part-time post – 21 hours per week
Our services operate across Dumfries & Galloway, so flexibility to travel within the region is important. One of the full-time posts will have a particular requirement to work flexibly across different locations, and applicants should be comfortable with community-based working and travel as service needs require.
We are committed to exploring flexible working opportunities which benefit the individual and the charity and are a ‘Happy to Talk Flexible’ employer. Hours are typically worked Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm, although occasional evening and weekend working may be required.
