Job Summary
The Marketing and Communication Assistant will play a vital role in amplifying Biblica’s mission by supporting the Area Mobilization Projects Director in managing external communications, donor relations, and brand visibility. This role is responsible for creating compelling narratives that highlight the impact of our Scripture programs, ensuring that our global partners and investors stay engaged, informed, and inspired.
Location
This is a remote working position, with the requirement for the successful candidate to be based in Kenya, ideally within commuting distance to the Biblica Africa office in Nairobi as and when required by the duties of the role.

Duties and Responsibilities
Partnership Communication & Support
- Draft and coordinate high-quality newsletters, impact reports, and briefing notes for key ministry partners and investors.
- Maintain and update the partnership database to ensure communication logs and partner touchpoints are accurate.
- Collect reports from the Regional Directors and enter them on the Salesforce Platform.
Content Creation & Digital Storytelling
- Source stories of "life change" from Regional Directors and partners to develop content for Biblica Africa social media.
- Collaborate with the global communications team to ensure Africa Area partnership successes are highlighted on Biblica’s global platforms.
- Manage the production of multimedia assets, including basic video editing and graphic design for our Bible engagement programs.
Media & Public Relations
- Assist in drafting press releases and media alerts regarding First Edition Bible translations or major program milestones.
- Ensure we have a mechanism of partner appreciation e.g. Year-end gift packages.
- Maintain a database of our partners and investors so that we can give them ministry updates.
Event Coordination
- Provide logistical and promotional support for Regional Directors during Bible Celebrations, fundraising dinners, event preparations, etc.
- Working with the global marketing office, ensure that we have relevant promotional materials like fliers for planned events.
Other duties as required, including attendance at regional and global prayer and staff gatherings as required.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or similar field required.
- 2-4 years of experience in Marketing, PR and Communications in a similar ministry organisation or NGO is preferred.

- Excellent customer service skills and ability to work with a variety of stakeholders, both internally and externally.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, and strong decision-making ability.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Detail oriented – seeks to develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of business activities.
- Good judgment and ability to work with minimal supervision within a remote team.
- Proven ability to prioritize, work independently, meet multiple tight deadlines.
- Must be a team player with a calm and flexible approach to handling pressure and stress while adapting to the needs of the team and project.
- Results-orientated: ability to handle multiple, time-sensitive projects while focusing on the quality of work delivered.
Competencies
- Strong personal commitment to Christ and Biblica’s Purpose, Mission Statement, and Statement of Faith, with no personal or professional conflicts with the Christian philosophy of Biblica
- Advanced MS Office proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint required.
- Ability to drive and monitor project timelines and provide regular updates and communication with staff, consultants and external constituents.
- Ability to manage and prioritize workload in a self-sufficient manner.
- Proven experience with customer service or care role preferred.
- A team player that is proactive and flexible.
Salary/Hours/Benefits
- Full-Time: 40 hours per week
- Salary range: In line with global salary scales, and determind by qualifications and experience.
- Grade Level: Senior Associate (300)
