Lunchtime LSA
Job Introduction
Autism Anglia and Doucecroft School, based in Colchester, are seeking a Lunchtime Learning Support Assistant. The Successful Lunchtime LSA will directly support the learners in their learning environment, in the classroom, during activities, and during break periods and lunch times as part of the Learning Support Assistants Team.
The successful Lunchtime Learning Support Assistant will help facilitate a supportive and safe environment for learning. This is an exciting opportunity that would be well suited to a LSA who enjoys supporting learners in both an individual and group setting.

Doucecroft School, Eight Ash Green, Colchester, CO6
Salary
£10,276.04 per annum (Term Time only, plus additional days for training)
Hours
Monday to Friday 10:30 am - 2:00 pm (term-time only)
What the role involves
- Directly support the learners in their learning environment, in the classroom during activities, and at break and lunch times
- Working closely with the Teachers and other Learning Support Assistants, assisting and contributing to lessons, and playing an active role in the completion of schemes of work
- Working with small groups or person learners across the age and ability range both on the school's site and out in the community
- Taking an active role in supporting learners involved in a range of physical activities including swimming, horse riding, ice skating, and much more
- Actively contribute to the smooth running of the educational setting
- To comply with and promote to others, the policies and procedures relating to the school, specifically those relating to child protection, safeguarding, health and safety, security confidentiality, and data protection
What we're looking for
- Proven experience in child care and child development
- Maths and English GCSE Grade C or above
- Excellent observational and organisational skills
- NVQ Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning is highly desirable but not essential
- Relevant experience working with individuals with autism or learning disabilities in an educational setting is highly advantageous
