As a whole, this is a role which might appropriately be filled by an ordained person, but could also be a vital lay role.
Potentially the role could be shared between two people, one overseeing the Learning Officer element and the other the Children and Family Discipleship. Further exploration of these different ways of envisaging the role could be explored at interview.
