Learning and Development Manager

This a brand-new role and a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and forward-thinking Learning and Development Manager to lead the design and delivery of a high-quality, inclusive and impactful learning and development across the Charity. We are looking for someone who is passionate about people development and can bring both strategic insight and operational delivery.

This is a key role within the People Team, responsible for shaping and delivering a strategic approach to workforce development that supports our organisational priorities, strengthens capability, and enhances the experience of our staff and learners.

What you will be doing:

  • Working with the Head of People to develop and deliver a charity-wide Learning and Development strategy aligned to our organisational goals and values
  • Leading on the design, commissioning and evaluation of learning programmes, including leadership development, mandatory training and professional development pathways
  • Working closely with leaders and managers to identify workforce development needs and embed a culture of continuous learning
  • Overseeing systems and processes for training, compliance and reporting, ensuring a strong evidence base for Ofsted/CQC and internal quality assurance
  • Ensuring learning and development is inclusive, accessible and responsive to the needs of all staff groups
  • Contributing to key organisational priorities including wellbeing, equality, diversity and inclusion, and quality improvement

You will:

  • Have significant experience in a learning and development, organisational development or similar role
  • Demonstrate experience of designing and implementing L&D strategies and frameworks
  • Have strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and support managers at all levels
  • Be confident using data and insight to inform decision-making and measure impact
  • Have knowledge of best practice in adult learning, leadership development and workforce capability
  • Be highly organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities

Qualifications needed

A relevant professional qualification (e.g. CIPD Level 5/7 or equivalent) and experience working in a complex regulated sector is desirable.

Working Hours

Monday – Friday – core hours 8:30am – 5:00pm
