Level 3 HR Support Apprenticeship.

As our HR Apprentice, you will work closely with the Resourcing and Learning Partner, as well as the wider HR team, to support the delivery of an efficient, professional and people focused HR service. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop practical HR skills in our busy boarding school where staff play a vital role in supporting the welfare, safeguarding and education of our students.

You will gain exposure to all aspects of HR, but will have a specific focus on recruitment, onboarding, compliance as well as the offboarding of staff.

Experience & Background

You will be eager to start a career in Human Resources, proficient in IT (Microsoft Office) and a confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills. You must be committed to learning and completing a (fully funded) Level 3 HR qualification.

This role is fixed term from 1 September 2026 for the duration of your apprenticeship training, with the potential to undertake a permanent role at the end of your training should a suitable role be available.

Duties
  • Assist with end-to-end recruitment processes, including publishing job adverts, tracking candidates, and generating offers and contracts.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes including pre-employment checks.
  • Manage and monitor the Recruitment and Appointments inboxes, responding to queries promptly or escalating as appropriate.

This post is Regulated Activity.

Hours of Work

This is a full time, full year post, working Monday to Friday.

Salary

Up to £26,686 per annum (dependent on skills & experience).

Pre-Appointment Checks

All candidates will undergo a Safeguarding Suitability Interview and application for an Enhanced DBS and Barred List check and be asked to provide evidence they are eligible to work in the UK, on an on-going basis, at the shortlist stage of the selection process.
