St Catherine’s British School Athens is seeking to appoint an HR Administrator to join our HR dynamic team on a fixed-term, full-time, on-site basis until 31st December 2026. Reporting to the Head of Human Resources, the successful candidate will provide essential administrative support for smooth operation of HR processes, with a particular focus on personnel records management.
St. Catherine’s is a leading independent British international school that teaches 1400 pupils from 3 to 18 years of age. The school is a member of HMC, COBIS, and is an IBO world school. It teaches the EYFS curriculum and the National Curriculum for England and Wales, as well as IGCSE and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. Reports to: Head of Human Resources
Type of contract: 6-month fixed-term, Full-time
Hours: 8:30am – 4:30pm including a 30-minute break, Monday to Friday inclusive
Place of Work: Upper School
Holidays: 15 days for half calendar year
Position Overview
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and organise HR employee files, taking appropriate follow-up actions and collaborating effectively with relevant internal & external stakeholders, to ensure compliance with applicable requirements, and timely updates
• Support the day-to-day HR administrative operations, including document management, correspondence, and employee lifecycle processes
Skills & Competencies
Essential
• Strong organisational and planning skills, with ability to meet agreed timelines
• Ability to multitask & prioritize effectively
High attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Greek
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office
Desirable
• Previous experience in an HR, compliance, administration, or office support role
• Experience working within a school, international organisation, or similarly regulated environment
• Relevant academic qualifications in HR, Business Administration, or a related field
