Main purpose and scope of the job

  • Working within dispersed accommodation provided by Eastleigh District Council provide intensive support to the victim / survivor and their child(ren) living within the properties.
  • Providing high-quality crisis intervention, information, advocacy, and proactive support to victims / survivors who access the Housing and Homelessness Service
  • Working with colleagues to increase knowledge and develop responses to victims and survivors of domestic abuse through formal and informal training sessions, this includes colocation within the council.
  • Providing resettlement support to victims of domestic abuse moving on from Stop Domestic Abuse safe acccommodation
  • Supporting victims to understand their housing options to aid in the prevention/relief of homelessness and access or maintain suitable, safe accommodation.
