Red House School invites applications for the position of Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our Senior School and work closely with our SENCo and teaching staff to support pupils in achieving their full potential.

The successful candidate will be an experienced and highly motivated teaching assistant who is passionate about supporting children and young people. They will have high expectations of pupils, a good understanding of SEND and a genuine commitment to inclusion. The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, adapt learning to meet individual needs and encourage independence will be essential.

The successful candidate will be able to work confidently both independently and collaboratively, supporting individuals, small groups and classes. They will contribute to the delivery of learning and intervention programmes, provide pastoral and emotional support where appropriate, assist with exam access arrangements and help pupils to develop the confidence and skills they need to succeed.

Red House School is a thriving independent school for boys and girls aged 3 to 16, set in the beautiful village of Norton, Teesside. The school provides an excellent, inspirational and holistic education to around 320 pupils. Academic outcomes at GCSE are excellent, and the pastoral care offered to pupils is a particular strength. Children also benefit from a wide-ranging co-curricular programme, with notable success in sport, creativity and leadership.

The role would suit an experienced HLTA or teaching assistant looking to develop their career in a supportive and ambitious school. Relevant qualifications and experience in supporting pupils with SEND would be highly advantageous.
