Head of Campaigns (Planning and Infrastructure)
About the role
Head of Campaigns (Planning and Infrastructure)
Closing date: 16 September 2026
Location: London, hybrid (2 days a week in the office)
Salary: £61,000
We’re recruiting a Head of Campaigns – Planning and Infrastructure, a newly created role that will strengthen our campaigning and help shape the national debate about how England uses its finite supply of land.
You’ll lead our work on planning, infrastructure and development, translating complex issues into compelling campaigns and policy stories that influence decision-makers, mobilise supporters and build momentum for change. You’ll work alongside our new Head of Campaigns – Landscapes and Land Use to make sure decisions about housing, infrastructure, food, nature, climate and landscapes are no longer made in isolation.
This isn’t a traditional policy job. We’re looking for a strategic campaigner who can combine policy insight, public engagement and strong relationships to drive change. You don’t need to be a qualified planner, but you’ll have the credibility to engage confidently with policymakers, MPs, sector experts and partners, and a track record of building coalitions around shared goals.
You’ll act as a senior spokesperson for CPRE, lead and develop a team, and work closely with our England-wide network.
