JOB PURPOSE
Reframe how the world talks about and engages in human rights by building strong relationships with Sections and teams across the global movement to support their Communications and Fundraising departments. Support the Head of Brand's strategic frameworks by helping develop fully integrated briefs which lead to compelling communications and marketing activations that engage and mobilise audiences.
You will be the link that makes sure that the Global Fundraising Programme delivers what is wanted by Amnesty teams in markets around the world. This role spans across all stages of the briefing process ensuring realistic expectations are set and everyone is clear on the strategic direction and audience insights, deliverables, distribution tactics and the activation is being measured for effectiveness to inform the next strategic process.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and maintain strong relationships key stakeholders in the IS and Amnesty entities. Particularly Research, Communications, Campaigns and Fundraising departments
- Champion, lead and build capacity within the Movement for strategic communications through positive narrative and storytelling and the HUMANITY framework – Amnesty's strategic planning approach
- Develop and manage activation briefs, communication strategies and frameworks with key movement stakeholders, as delegated, from ideation through to measurement. This includes providing issue research, audience, cultural and platform insights that form the communications frameworks and strategies from which creative and distribution teams take their cues
- Identify target and growth audiences for activation briefs by gathering and analysing audience insights from audience tools and audience research both internal and external
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Positive approach to building team dynamics; leading meetings, stakeholder management and negotiation skills with senior decision makers and encouraging creativity and ideas
- Experience of being the primary contact on a large portfolio of clients and/or projects
- Business minded and capable of writing detailed business proposals and media plans to efficiently activate projects to budget
- Experience with managing and meeting project budgets, forecasting and efficiently tracking costs
- Key analytical capabilities and confidence to interpret and make recommendations on reported audience and performance data
- Proven ability to work to tight deadlines, make decisions and resolve problems quickly and efficiently
- Ability to effectively communicate strategic goals and big ideas to a range of skills, levels and backgrounds outside of communications
