Girls and Young Women’s School Support Project Co-ordinator

Hours: 18 hours per week
Salary: £32,909 to £34,723 per annum for FTE – Actual £16010 to £16,892
Contract: Fixed Term 12 months contract
Based at: Calderdale, Halifax Office.
This is an exciting opportunity for a self-starter to demonstrate their project development and implementation skills. The successful candidate would be working in partnership with a Calderdale High School, supporting a therapeutic creative team to work with girls and young women to improve their confidence, self realisation, coping mechanisms and resilience. This is a trial project.
Main purposes of the role:
To develop, co-produce, coordinate and oversee a girls and young women’s school support project in Calderdale.
To improve the confidence of girls and young women impacted by abuse, violence, harassment or toxic attitudes through the use of creative art, music and dance to explore their emotions and give a better understanding of inner conflict through creativity, self-realisation and building resilience.
Personal and job related skills will include: -
- Experience of project development, co-production and management
- Knowledge and experience of working with girls and young women impacted by trauma
- Knowledge and understanding of the use of therapeutic techniques in trauma management
- Knowledge and practical experience of responding to Safeguarding issues, especially children and young people
- Confident with using digital tools including apps, mobile platforms such as Zoom, Teams etc
- Friendly, approachable and great communicator
