The Vacancy
Are you experienced in Fire Safety project management? If so why not consider joining us as a Fire Safety Delivery Manager, we have two opportunities available. In this interesting role you will see yourself lead the successful delivery of critical fire safety projects across our portfolio.
Reporting to the Senior Project Delivery Manager, you’ll take ownership of end-to-end project delivery—ensuring fire safety works are completed safely, compliantly, on time, and within budget. From fire doors and compartmentation to alarm systems and fire protection measures, your work will directly contribute to safer homes and communities.
This is a highly impactful role where you’ll play a key part in meeting our obligations under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and the Building Safety Act 2022, while embedding a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
You’ll bring your experience and knowledge to the role and day to day you will find yourself -
- Leading and managing the delivery of fire safety projects from mobilisation through to completion
- Overseeing day-to-day project activity, including planning, coordination, and resource management
- Managing contractors and suppliers, ensuring performance against specifications, KPIs, and contracts
- Conducting site inspections to monitor quality, compliance, and progress
- Identifying and resolving defects, risks, and non-compliance effectively
- Ensuring all works meet legislative and regulatory fire safety requirements
- Drive the resolution of Fire Risk Assessment (FRA) actions in a timely and compliant way
- Maintain robust records to support the “golden thread” of building safety information
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting
- Engage effectively with stakeholders, including residents, ensuring a customer-focused approach
Ideal candidates will be proactive and detail-oriented professionals with strong technical knowledge and delivery expertise.
You’ll bring to the role:
- A qualification in Construction, Building Surveying, Fire Safety, or equivalent experience
- Strong knowledge of fire safety legislation, including the Fire Safety Order 2005 and Building Safety Act 2022
- Proven experience delivering fire safety or building safety projects across the full lifecycle
- Hands-on experience with fire safety measures such as fire doors, compartmentation, fire stopping, and alarm systems
- Experience working with Fire Risk Assessments and managing actions to completion
- A track record of managing contractors and ensuring high-quality delivery
- Strong risk management skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate issues proactively
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Desirable:
- Fire safety qualification (e.g. Institution of Fire Engineers or equivalent)
- Project management qualification (APM, PRINCE2, or similar)
This is a hybrid role enabling you to base yourself from home. The role will require travel across the operating region, so you will need a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
The operating region includes Hampshire, Wiltshire, Somerset, Dorset, Devon, Cornwall and London.
