Salary: 24,500 Jordanian Dinars per year

About the role

Reporting in to the Finance Manager, the Finance Officer will support in providing high impact finance management, ensure donor compliance and risk management across the MMC Hub proactively identifying opportunities for service improvement.

Some of the main responsibilities of the Finance Officer include:

  • Committed to delivering high quality work within the MCC Hub and radar countries, undertaking financial related duties that supports the financial management across the MMC Hub.
  • Managing financial transactions across multiple bank accounts and currencies in the region thinking critically about existing process in the provision of consistent and coherent financial information.
  • Fostering a team mindset across the MCC through assisting in financial monitoring, donor reporting, and compliance for multiple country programs.
  • Supporting financial capacity-building initiatives for partners in MCC and radar countries understanding their perspectives to drive better results, building relationships based upon trust and openness.
  • Committed to delivering high value work in line with financial regulations for institutional donors across multiple programs.
  • Collaborative working with finance teams in other countries to standardise financial processes ensuring consistency of the application.

About you

Who we are looking for

Essential:

  • Degree level (or equivalent) and part qualified member of a recognised accounting organisation – CPA, ACCA.
  • Significant experience working with financial accounting procedures, writing and reviewing financial reports, creating and monitoring budgets.
  • Demonstrable experience in delivering financial training using different methodologies.
  • Experience with using excel and word processing packages and other account reporting tools.
  • Developed analytical skills to interpret financial information and investigate discrepancies.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
  • Posts located within Francophone context and Haiti, fluency in French and English

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of various donor requirements.
  • Knowledge of local partners/NGOs and development.
  • Experience of dealing with institutional donor fund accounting.
  • Experience of using computerised financial reporting tools.
  • Part-qualified IFAC accountant and training related qualification.
