Ensuring that the financial systems meet the requirements of data protection and other relevantlegislation. Providing staff and senior management with advice, support and training in financial matters. Attend any meetings as necessary and participate as a member of the Senior Leadership Team. Keep abreast of developments across the charity sector by liaising with senior staff in othercharities. Preparation of year-end accounts, this includes drafting the Trustees’ annual report.Act as Company Secretary responsible for the completion and submission of due returns to CompaniesHouse and to the Charity Commission. Preparing the annual budget forecast, liaising with budget holders to ensure that it is prepared in atimely and accurate manner.Internal management of the Foundation’s investment funds, supporting the Chief Executive andInvestment Committee in managing the relationship with the Foundation’s investment managers.Manage the outsourced payroll provision effectively.Assist the organisation’s external advisors to undertake the annual audit.www.cumbriafoundation.org7Governance• Attend Senior Leadership Team meetings.• Support and participate in meetings concerned with the governance of the Foundation, Trusts of which it is acorporate trustee and Cumbria Special Events Company. This will entail preparing agendas, attending and minuting meetings.• Participate in the Business Planning process.• Be responsible for the collation and submission of documentation in relation to the UKCF QualityAccreditation process which is renewed every 3-4 years.
