Cardiff Third Sector Council was set up in 1997 to provide a range of support services and resources to community groups and voluntary organisations, partnerships and networks in Cardiff. Central to our mission is a range of advice and support ranging from governance to finance, volunteering, funding, planning, communication, training, partnership, participation, influencing policy and more.
There are currently no vacancies at C3SC.
Trustees Needed at C3SC!
Is your group or organisation a member of C3SC? Do you have a passion for the Third Sector in Cardiff? Do you have an interest in supporting communities? Do you want to ‘give something back’ to your local community?
We are a small charity and a company limited by guarantee with ambitious plans for growth, and we are keen to recruit people from our local community – preferably with skills in Communications and Marketing, HR or Fund Raising and experience in the local third sector.
We are looking to broaden the diversity of representation on our board, and we welcome applications from under-represented groups that reflect the diversity of our local community.
The Board is responsible for setting the strategy and policies of C3SC, and Board meetings are held every three months on Thursday evening between 4.30pm and 6.30pm. Board members are offered full induction, along with training and mentoring opportunities.

Community Outreach Volunteers
The Community Outreach Volunteer role is suitable for anyone with an interest in supporting people in local communities to find opportunities for volunteering, signposting them to C3SC for support, and helping them to find charities and activities in their local community.
You will be provided with induction, support, and training. C3SC is the umbrella charity for Cardiff, and we support all kinds of voluntary action. This is a great opportunity to be a part of the team at C3SC and make a real difference in the community!
General tasks:
- Oversee stalls at drop-in sessions, fairs, and community days at various community locations.
- Support people to find suitable volunteering opportunities
- Signpost people to C3SC for information, advice, and support or to other charities and activities in the community.

Cathays and Central Youth and Community Project (CCYCP) are looking for a Charity Manager to join the team:
Job Title: Charity Manager
Contract type: Permanent
Hours: 37.5 hours per week

In this role, you will:
- Maintain and develop our services, projects, and facilities in line with CCYCP’s strategic goals and values, to provide meaningful social and educational opportunities.
- Promote and support a welcoming environment that encourages diverse and inclusive use of our community centre and its facilities.
- Ensure that CCYCP’s policies and procedures are up to date and compliant with current legislation.
- Maintain an overview of the charity’s financial position, ensuring that all financial procedures are adhered to and that staff and creditors are paid within an appropriate timeframe.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager to join the Demand and Continuous Improvement Team within Corporate Services. The starting salary is £39,813.00, rising to £45,147, based in Bridgend.
The Demand and Continuous Improvement Team carries out a range of demand reviews to assess current and future demand in support of the force priorities.
The successful candidates will be responsible for managing demand projects, facilitating workshops, and analysing qualitative and quantitative data to inform strategic decisions for understanding our capability, demand, and resourcing. The post holder will be required to use bespoke analytical and modelling software products to model demand for a broad range of policing areas.

Role Title: Treasurer (Director/Trustee)
Accountable to: Chairperson and Board of Directors
Term of Office: Up to three years
Role Purpose: To have general oversight of all DW financial matters and take a lead role in financial planning and budgeting and to ensure that funding is spent on the items for which it is given
Together with fellow Directors/Trustees to be responsible for developing DW’s policy and work; managing the organisation including its money and people; and serving the best interests of DW at all times
Commitment: To report to the Board on a regular basis including through the preparation and presentation of budgets ensuring that it is appropriately informed about DW’s financial situation
To participate in discussion and decision making; to read papers in advance of the meetings; to attend and participate in Board Induction and other Training as required; to participate in Annual Appraisal and personal development interviews with the Chairperson
Expenses: This is a voluntary position. Any out-of-pocket expenses will be paid in line with DW’s policy.
