  • Bede's Trust requires an experienced and diligent individual to join our Facilities and Maintenance Team as a General Maintenance Engineer.

    You will provide an exceptional level of service at both school sites in Upper Dicker and Eastbourne, by dealing with General Maintenance duties in accordance with the current codes of practice, regulations and compliance.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out repairs and renewals across the Trust ensuring that the school is a safe environment for staff, pupils and the general public. Working closely with the Facilities and Maintenance Manager, this role also involves working on Initiative, working productively individually and as a team and maintaining records of completed works.

    The right candidates will preferably come from a trade background in the Building or Facilities Industry as they will be carrying out repairs and renewals to the structure and fabric of Trust buildings, including carpentry, plumbing, painting, plastering, fencing and general repairs..

    We are looking for a multi-skilled and adaptable individual, who work well under pressure and a willingness to learn new skills in an ever changing environment.

    This is a permanent position, working 40 hours a week, 52 weeks a year, Monday - Friday consisting of 07:30 - 16:30 per day.
