Are you passionate about making a real difference in local communities? We are seeking a Parish Grants Officer to lead and manage the National Lottery Awards for All grant programme across the Diocese. This is an exciting opportunity to help parishes access up to £20,000 in funding for projects that bring people together, improve community spaces, support those in need, and tackle the challenges of the cost-of-living crisis.

You will be the key contact for parishes, guiding them through the entire application process—from initial engagement and bid writing to submission and monitoring. Your work will empower parishes to deliver impactful projects and strengthen community life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Awards for Allgrant application process from start to finish.
  • Support parishes with bid writing and ensure high-quality applications.
  • Build strong relationships with parishes, priests, and stakeholders.
  • Promote funding opportunities and proactively recruit parishes to apply.
  • Maintain accurate records in the fundraising CRM (Donorfy).
  • Monitor and report on fundraising activities and KPIs.
  • Contribute to developing cases for support and improving fundraising systems.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking someone who is not only competent in fundraising but who also embodies our diocesan values of Competence, Reliability, Honesty, Perseverance, and Love.

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Organised and proactive, able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • A strong communicator, confident in presenting and building relationships.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Officeand experienced in preparing reports and budgets.
  • Experienced in fundraising, bid writing, or grant management (desirable).
  • Committed to the mission and values of the Diocese.

Essential:

  • Degree-level education or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to travel to parishes and attend meetings/events.

Experience working in a faith-based or charitable setting is welcome but not essential.
