Job Overview:
Vacancy Description:
About the role
As Employer Engagement Coordinator, you will play a vital role in connecting students and graduates with meaningful employment opportunities. Working within the Student and Academic Services department, you will proactively build and manage relationships with employers across a range of sectors, ensuring their recruitment needs align with the aspirations of our student community. You will coordinate a variety of activities including careers fairs, workshops, and employer presentations, while also supporting bespoke opportunities such as internships, placements, and consultancy challenges.
This is a dynamic and outward-facing role that involves representing the Careers and Employability Service at networking events locally and nationally. You will be instrumental in generating new employer partnerships and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of graduate labour market trends. Your work will directly contribute to enhancing the employability of our students and graduates, supporting the University’s commitment to delivering an outstanding student experience.
About you
You will be educated to A-level or equivalent and bring demonstrable experience in customer service, sales, or business development. Your ability to build strong relationships and deliver operational plans will be key to your success in this role. A sound understanding of employability within a higher education context, along with experience of organising events and working towards targets, will be essential.
Excellent communication and networking skills are a must, as is the ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders. You will be confident using Microsoft Office and social media platforms, and able to work independently using your own initiative. A degree and experience in recruitment or employability would be advantageous, and we welcome candidates who share our values of inclusivity, flexibility, and commitment to supporting university-wide activities.
