Are you a keen photographer looking to capture the magic of the festive season while supporting a fantastic cause? We’re looking for a volunteer to help document the joy and creativity at our Nottingham Me Time Festive Pop Up Shop!

• Date: Friday 28th November
• Time: 10:30am – 2:30pm
• Location: Mencap Me Time Hub, Portland Leisure Centre, Muskham Street, Nottingham, NG2 2HE

We’d love a volunteer who can:

• Take candid and posed photos of the event, including our festive crafts, treats, and the popular Gardens Calendar 2026

• Capture the atmosphere, smiles, and community spirit

• Provide a selection of edited images after the event for use in future promotions and social media

Who We're Looking For:

We are looking for someone who is available ad hoc throughout the year (approximately 3-4 times a year and when you are able) to take photos of various events, take promotional or stock photos, and help as and when it is needed.

You will need to have access to your own camera and ideally have some experience taking pictures. You will be happy that the photos you take will be for Mencap and not personal use.

What You'll Learn:

You can get experience of photographing events and working in a professional setting within the external communications and marketing teams whilst also getting to learn about learning disability and what we do at Mencap.
