This is an exciting opportunity to lead and shape mental health services for young people in York. You will manage a National Lottery funded project, ‘YorChoice’, which aims to provide access to the appropriate support at the appropriate time, reducing the reliance on statutory mental health services.
The project is designed to deliver two drop ins per week as well as to develop Yor Mind, an online platform designed to help young people to navigate mental health services, and our Chat Chit podcast. You will also manage our Pride in Mind project (providing mental health support to young LGBTQ+ people within the city) and Expressive Minds (an early intervention project delivering creative group support to young people experiencing mental health challenges).
The Service Manager role will sit within the York Mind Management Team and is crucial to the success of our services for young people. We are looking for somebody who can deliver excellent service and people management, as well as being able to engage effectively with young people and partners.
