We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed PE & Games Teacher to join our dedicated Sports Department at an exciting time in the School’s development, as we launch our new Performance Programme and continue to deliver ambitious plans for sporting growth.
Reporting to the Director of Sport, the successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality and engaging PE and Games lessons across both the Prep and Senior Schools, while also supporting our extensive co-curricular sports clubs and fixtures programme. A specialism in netball would be considered favourably.
The role requires the postholder to deliver inclusive, challenging and inspiring PE and Games sessions, support the organisation of and coach co-curricular clubs and weekly fixtures (netball and cricket in particular), and contribute to the development of netball provision by taking the lead of an age group. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, professionalism, and the ability to nurture both talent and participation across all PE, Games, and co-curricular sports sessions. Experience of teaching within an educational setting is desirable, and candidates should demonstrate the ability to contribute fully to a busy and vibrant department.
This is a part-time position (0.5 FTE), term time only, for a fixed term of one year for maternity cover. The working pattern will be across 3-4 days per week, plus weekend fixtures as required (hours to be discussed at interview). We are seeking an organised and proactive administrator to join the HR team at an exciting time in the School’s evolution, as we continue to deliver our ambitious plans for growth. Working closely with the Head of HR, this role will provide efficient administrative support across the Tormead group of schools. Key responsibilities will include supporting recruitment campaigns, conducting pre-employment vetting checks, maintaining accurate compliance records, issuing contracts of employment, maintaining accurate HR systems (Every HR and iSAMS), and supporting the preparation of the monthly payroll.
We are seeking a team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, who can also work independently, and is highly administratively efficient. The ideal candidate will have excellent organisation and attention to detail, along with proven experience of working in a professional administrative role. Experience of working in education or another regulated environment would be considered favourably but is not essential.
This is a full-time position working all year round, from 8.00am until 4.00pm.
