The role The rundown: As Design Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the design, improvement, and optimisation of Teach First’s programme materials and digital resources. You will work collaboratively with designers and other colleagues to ensure our pro- grammes are engaging, accessible, and continuously improving. Your work will help ensure that our resources and experiences are high-quality, user-friendly, and aligned with Teach First’s mission. The detail: day-to-day work · Support the design and development of programme materials, resources, and digital content for Teach First programmes. · Gather and analyse feedback from users and stakeholders to inform continuous improvement of resources and experiences. · Create and maintain accurate documentation of design processes and updates, and review process- es, suggesting improvements as needed. · Contribute to the visual and digital design of re- sources, using appropriate tools and platforms · Ensure all resources and communications reflect Teach First’s values and commitment to diversity and inclusion including suggesting improvements where required. · Support, and when required lead on, the adoption and effective use of technology and online platforms within the team. · Contribute to the overall coherence, collaboration and quality of programme design You’ll take ownership for: · Designing tracking processes to map our curricula against national frameworks, ensuring coverage and compliance. · Managing version control and documentation of design iterations, updates, and improvements. · Coordinating internal feedback loops within our Design teams to inform continuous improvement of learning experiences. · Collaborate with designers to create engaging, accessible, and effective learning experiences. · Collaborating with colleagues to plan impactful design projects from concept to completion. · Assist with the strategic work of sequencing and organisation of programme content, ensuring clarity and consistency. · Improving efficiencies of processes relating to the continuous improvement of our progammes. 1 About you The Essentials: make sure you demonstrate these in your application. Essentials: · You have the ability to plan, prioritise, and manage workload in a fast-paced environment. · You have excellent attention to detail and, written and verbal communication skills. · You have experience with digital platforms and basic design tools · You have an aptitude for learning new systems and supporting others in their use. · You have the ability to work collaboratively and build effective working relationships across teams. · You have an understanding and experience in supporting process improvement and documentation. The nice to haves: we want to hear from you even if you can’t demonstrate these yet. We’re looking for potential, so tell us about what you can bring to the role. · You have experience in designing or improving learning resources, digital content, or programme materials. · You have experience in using project management tools to support team deliverables and collaboration. · You are comfortable working autonomously in a geographically dispersed team.
