Funding and Grants Officer (Full Time)

We are looking for a proactive and organised Funding and Grants Officer to be the driving force behind securing grants for vital community and building projects across our churches and volunteer groups.
You won’t just file papers — you’ll be the partner that our churches and committed volunteers turn to for expertise. You will make a real difference by playing a central role in helping develop and fund meaningful church and community projects.
What you will do:
- Strategy:Identifying, researching, and unlocking vital funding streams, connecting our specific needs with the right opportunities.
- Storytelling:Developing and writing compelling, high-impact bids that speak directly to grant-makers and secure the investment we need.
- Expertise:Providing confident, essential guidance and encouragement, and demystifying the world of grants for our local teams.
- Improvement:Establishing and managing the systems that track our funding projects and continuously developing how we work.
What we’re looking for:
- Proven track record:You will have experience of successful grant funding and professional bid-writing.
- Teamwork:You will have worked closely with teams of mixed experience to select the right funding avenues and develop bids.
- Great communication:You are able to craft compelling proposals with clarity and confidence—verbally and in writing.
- Rock-solid Administration:You will have successfully managed several projects and bids.
Purpose: A clear understanding of the Church’s crucial role in the community as a catalyst for good.
