About the role

Join ONSIDE and discover the role as a Melo Access Hub Practitioner/Triage Practitioner and work within an organisation and be part of team of professionals working within the Melo service to support children and young people (aged 0-25 years old) with their mental health and wellbeing across Worcestershire and Herefordshire.

The Melo Access Hub Practitioner/Triage Practitioner will be the first point of contact for anyone accessing the Melo service and will play a vital role in children and young people’s support to their mental health and wellbeing through accurate triaging and assessing the most appropriate service to best support the child or young person.

As a Melo Access Hub Practitioner/Triage Practitioner you never know what the next call is going to be; parent or carer looking for help and support for their child or young person, a professional requiring guidance and expertise around what services we offer and the best referral route …and lots more!

Who are we looking for?

To be a successful Melo Access Hub Practitioner/Triage Practitioner we are looking for someone with experience of working with children and young people ideally in a behavioural change or support role context.

Someone who is professional and kind, with an empathetic approach, who will ensure that all enquires, service referrals, and requests for information receive a professional, compassionate and effective response. As well being able to build rapport with the parents, carers or professionals.

You will have a passion for ensuring children and young people have access to the support and interventions needed to improve their lives and ensure that their best interests are at the heart of everything you do. Therefore, you will have a proven ability to identify and understand individual needs to accurately triage and assess a child and young person ensuring they receive the most appropriate support.
