About the role
Theirworld is seeking a Studio Assistant to support the smooth running of our in-house design studio.
Our Creative Studio produces high-quality visual content that supports the charity’s campaigning, advocacy, fundraising and project work — including video, infographics, digital and social media assets, brand materials, marketing collateral and research reports.
The Studio Assistant will provide day-to-day support on studio operations and assist with projects, asset management and creative production. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone at the beginning of their creative career — but with scope for growth into project coordination and production for the right candidate.
Reporting to our Director of Communications, you will work closely with our Studio Manager and colleagues across the ten-strong Marketing and Communications team, as well as internal teams, external designers, editors and other creative suppliers.
Main responsibilities
The Studio Assistant will support activities, including but not limited to:
Studio Support and Coordination
- Assist with the flow of creative briefs through the studio, ensuring timelines, priorities and deliverables are tracked
- Support the Studio Manager with project trackers, approvals, and stakeholder updates
- Liaise with internal teams to gather information and assets for creative projects.
Content and Production Support
- Assist with preparing and formatting assets for use across digital and print platforms.
- Support production of digital assets (social media graphics, simple video edits, branded templates)
- Ensure all materials meet brand standards
Freelancer and Supplier Support
- Help with briefs, contracts, and timelines for freelancers and suppliers
- Maintain contact lists and support communications with creative partners
Studio Operations
- Assist with our digital asset libraries, file naming conventions and archiving
- Track usage rights and maintain version control across projects
Experience, skills and character
- Determined, enthusiastic and proactive ‘can do’ attitude
- Strong organisational skills and ability to juggle multiple projects
- Interest or experience in creative production workflows (design, video, animation, or content creation)
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative working style.
- Confident with digital tools (MS Office essential; any experience with design software, project management tools like Monday.com, or creative production platforms is an advantage)
- A problem-solving mindset with the ability to take initiative
- At least one year of experience in creative, design, marketing, communications, or project coordination (in-house or agency) is desirable – but passion and aptitude are equally valued
Salary
Starting at £26,000+ based on qualifications and experience.
