Casual 3G Hub Assistant

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, reliable, and proactive individual to join our dynamic 3G Hub Team at Coleg Sir Gâr. Based at our brand-new, high-grade 3G, pitch and gym facilities at Graig Campus, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day running of the hub – helping deliver a first-class experience to students, sports clubs, and the wider community.

Whether you’re setting up equipment, supporting holiday activities for young people, or ensuring the facilities are safe and welcoming, no two shifts will be the same. If you're passionate about sport, customer service, and making a difference, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

The

will be expected to: 3G Hub Assistant
  • Assist in the co-ordination of activities on the 3G, gyms and grass pitches
  • Manage the changeover of sessions including setting up and taking down of the appropriate equipment
  • Assist in the maintenance of the 3G pitch and gyms
  • Deal with a wide range of individuals and organisations who use the 3G, gyms and grass pitches
  • Ensure that the use of the facilities by the members of the public comply with health and safety regulations and college policy
  • Open up and lock down the facilities
  • Assist in the running of the holiday camps for children and young people
  • Carry out any other duties as directed by the Principal/Chief Executive commensurate with the grade of the post at the initial place of work or other locations within the College.

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

Welsh Language Requirements:

  • Welsh Oracy (Listening/Speaking) - Level 2-Essential
  • Welsh Literacy (Writing/Reading) - Level 2-Essential

Desirable Criteria:

  • GCSE English and Mathematics at minimum Grade C or O Level Equivalent
  • Awareness of health and safety issues in sport

In 2013 it became Coleg Sir Gar Ltd, a company within the University of Wales: Trinity Saint David Group, and part of a regional Dual Sector University. The College has an annual turnover of over £35m and employs around 800 staff.

Coleg Ceredigion was created in 1985 and became a corporate institution in 1993. The college merged with the University of Wales Trinity Saint David as a subsidiary company in 2014. The college has an annual turnover of £6m and employs around 180 staff.
