Job Description
Please note this is a hybrid role based on the successful candidate working at least two days a week in our London office. Remote contracts would not be considered for this role.

PURPOSE OF JOB:
The Fundraising Associate is responsible for the delivery of activity against the fundraising strategy for schools, youth and community audiences. The role will work across organisational campaigns, including Red Nose Day, Sport Relief, 365 running portfolio and other year-round activity.
Key responsibilities:

Work with colleagues to support the delivery of agreed fundraising campaigns and initiatives, including supporting the project management and production of specific assets; setting up campaigns; tracking performance; and support related to the successful delivery of team objectives.

Provide exceptional relationship management of supporters across all campaigns through email, phone, social media and in-person interactions.

Monitor and steward fundraisers on digital platforms to maximise income and engagement; establish and maintain strong connections with supporters to foster long-term retention; and guide fundraisers in developing creative and effective fundraising ideas.

Manage the Fundraising Agreement process to ensure legal compliance.

Actively participate in regular thanking initiatives including online and in-person fundraising and stewardship events to strengthen supporter relationships and enhance overall engagement.

Accurately capture supporter data in CRM in accordance with GDPR. Work with other members of the team to implement processes and new ways of working utilising the new CRM system.

Use data platforms to track and report on fundraising progress and keep supporter records up to date.

Identify inspiring fundraising case studies from supporter audiences that can be used in fundraising materials, editorial or supporter appreciation initiatives. Collect and document these stories, including photos and consents, and act as internal point of contact for sharing stories for use across teams.

Work with the Supporter Services team, providing support with enquiries ensuring responses are managed effectively and within the agreed timeframes.

Essential criteria:

Excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport, cultivate strong relationships and communicate effectively with diverse audiences.

Experience of delivering excellent fundraiser (or customer) support

Experience of coordinating multiple projects, with proven administration, organisational and time-management skills

Strong attention to detail to produce work, which is consistently accurate, and which fits the purpose for which it was intended

Ability to work autonomously to meet deadlines

Ability to demonstrate willingness to learn and develop in a fast-paced, high impact environment.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with colleagues.

A positive, proactive and solution orientated approach
Desirable criteria:

Experience of supporting the delivery of fundraising activities and campaigns

Experience of online/social media community management

Experience of using fundraising platforms and CRM systems

Knowledge of the Fundraising Code and fundraising best practice
