Contract: Permanent – Monday to Friday 8:00 – 16:00
Salary: £27,687 per annum
Location: HA3 0YG (Office based role)
Closing Date: 18th December 2025
We are seeking a highly organised, compassionate, and motivated individual to provide high-quality administrative and clinical support within our Community Services team. This is a vital role at the heart of the hospice, supporting both clinical colleagues and the patients and families who rely on our care.
St Luke’s Hospice is committed to improving the quality of life for those with advanced progressive illnesses no longer responsive to cure and either have such complex needs as to be best met by a specialist palliative care service or have an expected prognosis of less than one year. It provides support to patients, and extends support to those people important to them whilst maintaining their dignity and respect. In addition the hospice provides expertise, education and support to the professional health and social care community.
About the role:
You will provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support across a range of clinical areas, including the management of confidential patient records, supporting the patient referral and coordination process, arranging clinical appointments, and maintaining accurate information systems. Working collaboratively with the wider team, you will also support essential administrative tasks such as managing invoices, producing meeting minutes, maintaining databases, and assisting with audits, projects, and service development.
The role includes responsibility for collecting and analysing data related to clinical activity, supporting governance requirements, and helping to ensure all information is handled securely. You will also act as a resource for colleagues using the electronic patient record system, providing guidance and initial training where needed.
This is a varied and rewarding position that contributes directly to the quality of care provided by St Luke’s Hospice. You will play an essential role in supporting our clinical teams, ensuring patients and families receive coordinated, compassionate, and timely care.
Applicants are encouraged to inform us if any reasonable adjustments are needed to be made during any part of the recruitment process.
St Luke’s Hospice are equal opportunity employers and particularly welcome applications from groups who are currently under-represented in our staff.
Please note: We will not be able to employ you if you are not eligible to work in the UK. We will not be able to obtain a work permit on your behalf.
